    Maximum Supported Players per Map Mode

    Assault Team Game (ATG)
    On some maps, there is an ATG mode available. In this mode, every team has a specific objective.
    Example: Protect the pilot
    US team has to protect a pilot and escort him to the LZ. The pilot starts with a pistol and has a flak jacket to protect him.

    The Vietcong team has to prevent the pilot reaching the LZ.
    Capture The Flag (CTF)
    Each team has a flag to protect. Steal your enemies flag and return it to your base. (Note: You can only score if your flag is still in your base.)

    Deathmatch / Team Deathmatch (DM / TDM)
    Deathmatch is a free-for-all where the player with the most number of frags wins. Weapons can be found lying around the map. In Team Deathmatch mode, two teams compete for the most number of frags.

    Note: For both Deathmatch game modes, the player starts with just a handgun and has to find a primary weapon located in weapon boxes throughout the map.

    Real War (RW)
    Each map will have 3 or more flags for your team to score. Hold all flags on the map in order to score.

    Co-operative (COOP)
    Form a squad and play through missions together while fighting the A.I. controlled enemy.

    3 - If the server has limited the classes, you may be unable to select them.
    Next time you are killed, you will respawn into a new class.

    Fable Officially Goes Gold

    Microsoft Game Studios today announced that Fable, the exclusive Xbox® roleplaying adventure game, has gone gold. Fable is scheduled to ship to retailers in North America on September 14 for an estimated retail price of $49.95 (U.S.). Fable will be available in Europe in October. Developed by Peter Molyneux's studio Big Blue Box in conjunction with Lionhead Studios, Fable offers players the opportunity to develop a unique character by making choices that determine their character's skills, reputation and appearance.

    The Red Star Character Bio: Makita

    Upon the fall of the United Republics of The Red Star, the nation turned in on itself. Nokgorka, one of the many provinces of the U.R.R.S., declared independence from its former master, and was met with forty days of heavy artillery shelling.

    The civil war has lasted almost a decade, and still the Nokgorka Resistance Militia will not yield; even against the superior forces of The Red Fleet. Makita is a soldier forged in this pyre of hatred. Her mother a Red, her father a Nokgorkan, Makita lost them both in this bitter war, and is resolved to give her own life to it. This changed on that fateful day she meets Maya and Kyuzo, and realizes her place upon their quest.


    Outmoded now, but once standard issue weaponry during the heyday of the United Republics, these crude but effective melee weapons are protocol-enhanced with superior materials density, allowing them to cut or pound through most types of armor.

    The Samsonov '79 Machine Pistol is the elite personal firearm of the Red Fleet. Granted only to Generals or to ranks above them. Makita took hers off the body of one of her more highly ranked victims.

    Eidos Announces LEGO Star Wars

    Eidos, one of the world's leading publishers and developers of entertainment software, announces it has secured the distribution rights to LEGO Star Wars with Giant Interactive Entertainment Ltd for all countries except Japan. The game will be released in April 2005 for the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system, Xbox(R) video game system from Microsoft, PC and Game Boy(R) Advance.

    LEGO Star Wars combines two childhood favourites, LEGO and Star Wars(R), to create an innovative and exciting action-adventure title designed for young gamers. The game is based on The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and the eagerly awaited Star Wars(R): Episode III Revenge of the Sith(TM), slated for worldwide release in May 2005.

    Under an agreement between LucasArts and Giant Interactive Ltd, LEGO Star Wars is currently being developed by Traveller's Tales for the PlayStation2, Xbox and PC. Amaze Entertainment is developing the Game Boy Advance version.

    BloodRayne to Appear on MTV2's "Video Mods"

    EDISON, NJ, August 23, 2004 - Video games and music videos unite, as Majesco, a leading publisher and distributor of interactive entertainment products, today announced its popular BloodRayne video game character will be featured on a premiere episode of MTV2's new series "Video Mods." Scheduled to air September 18, the episode showcases Evanescence's "Everybody's Fool" video, recreated with characters from Majesco's forthcoming BloodRayne 2 video game sequel.

    New Details for Conflict: Vietnam + Screens

    To survive in the harsh jungles of Vietnam, you’ll need to keep your wits about you and every member of your squad in prime condition. The skill advancement system in Conflict: Vietnam allows players to decide in which of nine fields their squad members will specialize, essentially giving the player more control over gameplay as they progress through the story. It is possible to build up a stealth kill team consisting entirely of snipers, a squad of heavy weapon experts that charge into every battle, or whatever mix of soldiers best fits a particular style of play.

    After each mission is completed, squad members are awarded skill points for completing primary and bonus objectives, taking down enemy soldiers and vehicles, fire accuracy, and stealth kills. Points are deducted for killing civilians and friendly soldiers. These points are split amongst the four squad mates, and then spent to raise their skills in Pistol, Assault Rifle, Sniper Rifle, Machine Gun, Grenade, Shotgun, Medic, Rocket Launcher, and Booby Traps. The higher the skill, the more points it costs to raise.


    Though never used as a primary weapon, it’s always handy to have at least moderate sidearm skill when ammo for your main weapon is running low. Increasing a character’s skill in pistol gives them a steadier hand at quick targeting and more accurate aim, eventually allowing them to hit targets that would otherwise be too far away to even attempt taking a shot at.

    Assault Rifle

    The most commonly used, and arguably the best, weapon to have on the field, the assault rifle skill covers arms such as the AK-47 and M16A1. The higher a character’s assault rifle skill, the better their accuracy. Having this skill maxed out makes the burst option available on most assault rifles deadly effective.

    Sniper Rifle

    Corporal Bruce Lesh begins as your squad’s main sniper, but any member can become equally proficient with enough skill points. The tactical advantage of being able to take down enemies from a distance is undeniable, and an effective sniper is an intimidating opponent. Increasing sniper rifle skill steadies your character’s hand when going into sniper mode, improving accuracy and allowing shots to be taken quicker.

    Machine Gun

    This skill covers heavier, fully automatic armaments such as the M60 LMG and M3A1 “Grease Gun”. Though they can spill out an oppressive amount of bullets, their high fire rate comes at the cost of massive recoil and inaccuracy for those lacking the ability to keep them under control. Raising machine gun skill will increase a character’s ability to stay on target while unloading an entire clip.


    Useful for flushing out hidden enemies and getting into places where bullets can’t, it is wise to have every member of your squad at least somewhat skilled at using grenades. Higher grenade skill gives better throwing distance, and makes soldiers better at knowing when to use a grenade when they’re not under player control.


    Perhaps the most underrated weapon on the battlefield due to its short range and slow reload time, the main advantage of the shotgun is that its spreading shot rarely misses, and at close range one shell is all it takes to down an enemy. An increased shotgun skill lessens the weapon’s downfalls by both increasing range and improving the character’s reload rate.


    Private Harold Kahler is officially your squad’s medic, but every member of your team should have at least passing knowledge in this field if you hope to make it out of the jungle alive. The medic skill decreases the time it takes to heal another character, and increases the amount of health they receive.

    Rocket Launcher

    Necessary for destroying tanks, but also useful for dispatching gun emplacements and machine gun nests, rocket launchers can quickly defuse a difficult situation. Considering that a misplaced shot can be as deadly for your squad as the enemy, the increased accuracy that comes with an improved rocket launcher skill is vitally important.

    Booby Traps

    The VC were notorious for the ingenuity and deadliness of their traps. Increasing this skill makes characters faster and more proficient at disarming traps. It also gives them a better eye for spotting well concealed trip wires and mines, so they’re more likely to shout a warning when you’re running unknowingly into danger. Since failure to disarm a trap can result in setting it off instead, at least one character in your squad should be highly proficient in this skill.

    Majesco Secures the Rights for Jaws Videogame

    Ben Wallace Cover Athlete for ESPN NBA 2K5

    Kingsley & Loken to Co-Star in BloodRayne Movie

    (Vancouver, BC) - Sir Ben Kingsley, best known for his Academy Award winning role in Ghandi, and most recently for his Oscar nominated performance in House of Sand and Fog, has signed on to play the villain in the film adaptation of one of the most popular action-horror video games in years, BloodRayne. Kingsley joins "Terminator 3" star Kristanna Loken, who will play the film's heroine, BloodRayne.

    The film is set in 18th century Romania, where the film will actually begin principal photography later this month. The beautiful Rayne has a human mother and a vampire father, giving her superhuman strength, yet at the same time, allowing a softer, more vulnerable side to her personality. Still, she is driven by vengeance to overthrow her vampire father, who turns out to be the powerful and evil Kagan, King of the Vampires, who will be played by Kingsley. Kagan wants nothing to do with his daughter and is intent on bringing her to doom. On her journey, Rayne is befriended by two vampire hunters. Together, the three must combat the great Kagan before he manipulates the earth into darkness, with vampires ruling forever.

    BloodRayne is written by Guinevere Turner ("American Psycho") and will be directed by Uwe Boll. Boll has recently raised $47 million through German film fund Boll KG 4, and this financing will be used for BloodRayne as well as other forthcoming videogame screen adaptations. The filmmaker most recently directed "House of the Dead," based on the Sega videogame, and "Alone in the Dark," starring Christian Slater, Tara Reid and Stephen Dorff, based on the Atari game. The first film was acquired by Artisan Entertainment; the latter has no domestic distributor as of yet.

    The producers of BloodRayne are Shawn Williamson and Dan Clarke. Williamson is a principal at the Vancouver-based Brightlight Pictures which recently co-produced with Gold Circle Films "White Noise," starring Michael Keaton, which Universal Pictures will release in 2005, and line produced "Edison" for Millennium Films and Emmett/Furla Films, starring Kevin Spacey, Morgan Freeman, LL Cool J and Justin Timberlake.

    Of Kingsley's casting, Williamson said, "It is an incredible honor to have an actor of Sir Kingsley's caliber involved in our film. His talent and strength as an actor will help us create an outstanding cinematic experience."     EA Announces NBA Live 2005 Cover Athletes

    Electronic Arts announced today that NBA stars Carmelo Anthony, Tony Parker, and Pau Gasol will serve as global spokesmen for NBA LIVE 2005, scheduled for release this fall under the EA SPORTS(TM) brand.     Killings Over Stolen Xbox

    (CNN) -- Authorities in Deltona, Florida, have arrested and charged four people in the killings of six people in a rental home, Volusia County's sheriff said Sunday.

    Sheriff Ben Johnson said the murder was organized by a man who was angry because he believed his Xbox video game system and some clothes had been stolen.

    Madden Challenge Kicks off August 14

    A deranged scientist is abducting students from the Psychonauts boot camp and a powerful new cadet named Raz stands alone against the lunatic. Raz must develop and unleash an arsenal of paranormal powers, including the ability to launch himself telepathically into someone else’s mind -- and take on their inner demons, nightmares and secret memories. Ultimately he must enter the mind of his worst enemy and destroy his dark plans at their source, while trying not to lose his sanity in the process.
