Microsoft Game Studios Soundtracks
Steve @ 5:27 PM EST
New York, NY - Sumthing Else Music Works Inc. through its recently expanded relationship with Microsoft Game Studios, proudly announces the release of a Special Edition of their best selling soundtrack for the hit Xbox« video game, Halo«: Combat Evolved. The Special Edition Soundtrack includes a Halo 2 Bonus DVD containing trailers and videos from the highly anticipated game from Bungie Studios, as well as previously unreleased Surround Sound versions of new music composed by Marty O’Donnell from the Halo universe. “It’s a pleasure to bring new music to the fans of Halo. Until now these Surround Sound versions could only be experienced in my studio. Consider it a taste of things to come.”
The Halo score, composed by Marty O’Donnell and Michael Salvatori, weaves a collection of tribal drumbeats, techno dance beats and breathtaking orchestral movements. The artistic accomplishments of the score (not to mention the game) continue to draw critical acclaim from musical artists who play Halo. Legendary rock guitar virtuoso Steve Vai calls "the melodies as haunting and ominous as the game's characters." The Editors of Rolling Stone named Halo: Combat Evolved as the video game with the "Best Original Soundtrack" for 2001.
The Special Edition Halo Soundtrack plus Bonus DVD is being sold in stores in the U.S. for a suggested retail price of $15.98 and may also be purchased online through the game website at http://www.xbox.com/halo . It is the sixth soundtrack this holiday season to be manufactured and released by Nile Rodgers’ Sumthing Else Music Works Label under its exclusive original soundtrack licensing relationship with Microsoft Game Studios. Distribution, sales and retail marketing of the soundtracks continue to be facilitated through Nile Rodgers’ national distribution company, Sumthing Distribution.
Other new original soundtracks available on Sumthing Else Music Works for Microsoft Game Studios’ games include Crimson Skies«: High Road To Revenge™, Freelancer™, Voodoo Vince™, Brute Force™ and Tao Feng™: Fist of the Lotus™.
Crimson Skies: High Road To Revenge - This 54-track soundtrack CD contains a Bonus DVD with Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround mixes of the game trailer and select tracks from the CD. The soundtrack is an ode to 1930’s big band and modern day swing revival. The score for the Xbox video game was composed by Stan LePard and performed by Northwest Sinfonia and Grammy Award-winning conductor, Adam Stern. To order or listen to a sample of the soundtrack, visit http://www.xbox.com/crimsonskies.
Freelancer includes a Bonus Video-DVD containing a Behind-the-Scenes Documentary, Trailers, Conceptual Artwork and previously unreleased versions of the Cinematic Intro. James Hannigan, who was nominated for the Golden Reel Award for his work on sound in Lost in Space and is also known for his brilliant score in Privateer: The Darkening, Sim Theme Park and many other games, composed the score for this PC game developed by Digital Anvil. James also contributed music to Brute Force (also on the Sumthing Else Music Works label). Visual Music Inc., a network of musicians led by composer Tom Seufert, tapped members Dean Grinsfelder, Osamu Kitajima, Tim Kelly and Cato for the game. Digital Anvil's own Andrew Sega rounded out the list of composers supplying music for Freelancer. To order the soundtrack online or for more information, visit http://www.microsoft.com/games/freelancer/.
The Voodoo Vince soundtrack for the Xbox video game is a blend of the Cajun, Dixieland and jazz music so characteristic of New Orleans and the Louisiana bayou. Or is it? With over three hours of music contained in the game itself, a phantasmagorical and hysterical audio landscape emerges for gaming's most unlikely hero, a voodoo doll named Vince.
Gaming veteran Steve Kirk composed the score, whose previous credits run from Atari to THQ. What he brought to Voodoo Vince, though, was a decade’s worth of playing and scoring experience for Saturday morning cartoons (The Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat), and silent film (Pandora’s Box, Sherlock Jr, Metropolis,) with the legendary Clubfoot Orchestra. To order the soundtrack online or for more information, visit http://www.xbox.com/voodoovince.
Brute Force - This soundtrack for Xbox video game includes a Bonus DVD containing ş the Xbox video game’s cinematic intro and previously unreleased footage featuring the main characters. The score is made up of ambient, tranquil sounds and orchestrations mixed with tribal techno and was composed by James Hannigan, Mike Reagan, Jesper Kyd and T.J. O’Leary. To order the soundtrack online or for more information, visit http://www.xbox.com/bruteforce.
Tao Feng: Fist of the Lotus – This techno driven soundtrack composed by Myer for the Xbox video game delivers a hard-hitting music backdrop for the hand-to-hand combat sequences. To order the soundtrack online or for more information, visit http://www.xbox.com/taofeng

Magic: The Gathering - Battlegrounds Ships
Steve @ 2:19 PM EST
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 19, 2003--Atari today announced that it has shipped "Magic: The Gathering(TM) - Battlegrounds," for the Xbox(R) videogame system from Microsoft and PC CD-ROM, to retail stores nationwide. Developed for Atari by Secret Level, "Magic: The Gathering - Battlegrounds" is based on the incredibly popular trading card game created by Wizards of the Coast, a subsidiary of Hasbro, Inc. The game is filled with faithful card game translations of classic creatures, spells and enchantments, and presented in a visually stunning 3D game environment rife with real-time strategic fighting, devastating wizard arsenals and intense creature combat.
"Based on one of the best game franchises ever created, `Magic: The Gathering - Battlegrounds' will truly usher in a new era of strategic fighting gameplay," said Steve Allison, vice president of marketing, Atari's Los Angeles Studio. "`Magic: The Gathering - Battlegrounds' is like no other `Magic' game to date -- it is incredibly fast paced, eye popping in full 3D and filled with tons of strategic fighting action. `Magic: The Gathering - Battlegrounds' also takes full advantage of Xbox Live, allowing players to compete against friends worldwide, track their stats and rank as well as download new creatures, spells, arenas and more."
Created by award-winning game designer Richard Garfield and published by Wizards of the Coast, the "Magic: The Gathering(R)" trading card game made its debut in 1993. Today, there are more than 6 million "Magic" players worldwide. Just as in the "Magic(R)" card game, in "Magic: The Gathering - Battlegrounds" players will choose a duelist and any of Magic's five colors -- red, green, white, blue or black -- to attempt to reduce their opponent's life to zero. Of course, getting an opponent to zero will not be easy, players will have to utilize lightning reflexes, strategic brilliance and, on occasion, raw power to overcome an enemy.
An important aspect to "Magic: The Gathering - Battlegrounds" will involve the player's mastery of the five colors in the development of his/her duelist. Each color has a proficiency at certain types of activities, such as attacking, defending and healing. Players will be able to select up to two colors and utilize creatures, spells and enchantments in any combination from those schools. For example, a red duelist may choose to augment the attacking powers of his Lava Dragon by adding powerful green enchantments to his arsenal or increase his resilience by using white's restorative powers instead.
"Magic: The Gathering - Battlegrounds" will feature an engrossing single-player Quest Mode, featuring a plot that includes characters from "Magic: The Gathering" storylines while also introducing a variety of new characters and locales. Single-player Quest Mode will be comprised of six chapters, each featuring up to 15 quests. Most quests will involve battles with resident duelists, sub-bosses or bosses who often control a particular creature or spell that the player has not yet acquired. As the player progresses, the resident duelists get tougher and control more powerful spells.
-- Xbox Live Enabled -- "Magic: The Gathering - Battlegrounds" takes full advantage of Xbox Live with a robust set of features, including online dueling and chat capabilities, a complete ranking system and statistic tracking. In addition, new creatures, sorceries, enchantments and arenas will be made available to players for download after launch.
-- Creatures, Creatures, Creatures -- "Magic: The Gathering - Battlegrounds" will feature dozens of creatures that can be utilized by duelists throughout the game. Creatures include the Goblin King (red), who improves the performance of any other goblin under player control; the Krovikan Vampire (black), who can "resurrect" enemy units to serve his side after defeating them in combat; the unstoppable Avatar of Might (green), who can trample through defending forces and still attack the opposing duelist; the Warrior Angel (white), who can heal the controlling duelist with the damage she deals in combat; and Horned Turtle (blue), who acts as a barrier to all ground units.
-- Super Sorceries -- While creatures get all the headlines, an effective sorcery can unleash a devastating, game-ending world of hurt with one simple spell cast. Red features some of the most devastating sorceries with show stoppers, including Inferno, Scorching Missile and Engulfing Flames, which all deal varying amounts of damage to creatures and duelists alike. Not to be left out, the other colors also feature a horde of deadly spells, including Hellfire (black), which instantly kills all non-black creatures; Overrun (green), which grants all green creatures bonuses to attack and defense as well as the ability to trample opponents; Spelljack (blue), which allows a blue duelist to literally steal an opposing player's spell if timed correctly; and, Demystify (white), which destroys an enemy duelist's last cast enchantment.
-- Enchanting Enchantments -- Just as important as any creature or sorcery, enchantments can easily swing the tide of battle. Gratuitous Violence (red) grants all creatures improved attacking power; Test of Endurance (white) alters win conditions by granting the first player to reach 50 health the victory; Liability (black) causes damage to any duelist whenever their creatures perish; and Pendrill Mists (blue) steals mana from any duelist after a creature respawns in battle.
-- Choose Your Battlefield -- "Magic: The Gathering - Battlegrounds" will initially feature more than 15 arenas to battle in. While featuring similar play mechanics, each arena is unique and relates to key geographic areas found in the "Magic" universe. Arenas include Maraxus' Volcanic Forge, Akroma's Castle Lucetos, Ihsan's Forbidden Fen and Multani's Everfall, among many others.
"Magic: The Gathering - Battlegrounds" is now available at retail stores nationwide with an estimated retail price of $49.95 and an ESRB rating of "T" for Teen. Additional information about "Magic: The Gathering - Battlegrounds" can be found online at www.mtggame.com, which features downloadable and streaming game play movies, downloadable developer commentaries and strategies, screenshots, duelist information and much more.

Microsoft Corp. today officially announced that “Project Gotham Racing« 2” arrived on store shelves this morning, leaving wicked skid marks along the way. The game is scheduled for release in Japan Nov. 20 and in Europe Nov. 28. “Project Gotham Racing 2” was developed by Bizarre Creations Ltd. in Liverpool, England.
“Project Gotham Racing 2” is the follow-up to the smash hit “Project Gotham Racing.” Rewarding drivers for racing with speed, style and daring, “Project Gotham Racing 2” offers circuit-based racing through highly detailed city environments. Racers can choose from more than 100 of the hottest cars while speeding through the streets of 10 exciting cities, power-sliding around corners and accelerating through the straightaways before moving to a different venue. In the single-player mode, gamers will progress through more than 230 races in Kudos World Series and Arcade racing modes.
The racing game that rewards gamers for driving with style now sets the standard for online racing via Xbox Live online game service. Players can match up against seven other players online utilizing Xbox Live for intense grudge matches. For the first time, players using Xbox Live can also download “ghosts” — replays of the best races — and race against them or learn from them, and take online challenges that are rotated monthly or even weekly.
“When we launched the Xbox console, ‘Project Gotham Racing’ was the game that defined racing on Xbox,” said Ed Fries, vice president of Microsoft Games Content at Microsoft. “The sequel is going to do for Xbox Live what the original did for the Xbox console — define online racing.”

Where Does the Xbox Stand? The Numbers Are In
Steve @ 12:00 AM EST
Xbox Solidifies Number Two Position
In spite of recent competitive price cuts, Xbox holds the number two position in the United States and Europe. According to the NPD Group, Xbox maintains the number two position for life-to-date console sales in the United States, with more than a one million unit lead over Nintendo’s GameCube. Based on sell-through data in Europe, Xbox has more than a 600,000 unit lead over Gamecube (Chart Track and GfK; through September 2003).
Xbox is on track to meet its sales forecast of 14.5 – 16 million units shipped by June 2004. While recent price cuts have negatively impacted PS2 market share, Xbox has maintained overall consistent share, currently at 24% in the US (NPD) which is in line with analyst expectations. And in the first five weeks of the Xbox holiday retail offer, sales have increased 54 percent on a weekly run rate basis.
Xbox Live Leads in Online Gaming
The Xbox console experience is highlighted with a hot plate of more than 70 Xbox Live games by year’s end, well exceeding competitive offerings. Exclusive new online titles coming this holiday include Project Gotham Racing 2, Amped 2, Top Spin, Counter-Strike, Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge and Links 2004 (Microsoft Game Studios) Magic the Gathering (Atari); Sega GT Online (Sega); Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy (Lucas Arts); Rainbow Six 3 (UbiSoft Entertainment) and Ninja Gaiden (Tecmo). Moreover, Xbox Live continues to win over gamers and reviewers. At a recent IGN roundtable, 12 out of 15 columnists recommended the Xbox Live service over PlayStation 2 Online.
Xbox Offers Strongest Portfolio Ever
There are nearly 400 Xbox titles to choose from this holiday from a wide variety of publishers, such as new blockbusters including Rainbow Six: 3 and Prince of Persia from UbiSoft; Grand Theft Auto Double Pack and Max Payne 2 from Rockstar Games; Project Gotham Racing 2, Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge, and Counter-Strike from Microsoft Game Studios; True Crimes Streets of L.A. and Tony Hawk Underground (Activision); Medal of Honor, Lord of the Rings, and SSX 3 (Electronic Arts); and Ninja Gaiden from Tecmo. And one of the most innovative titles this holiday, Xbox Music Mixer, is expected to be a holiday favorite.
Gamers are already showing their excitement for Xbox during the most popular time for software sales. October NPD TRSTS numbers reported the U.S. cumulative attach for Xbox increased from 5.9 in September to 6.1 (6.8 with retail pack-in games) in October, giving Xbox the continued distinction of having the highest attach rate on record for any next-generation console after almost two years in the market. This is evidenced by the number of Xbox titles continually appearing on best seller lists.
In fact, according to Gamerankings.com, early reviews of Xbox titles are among the highest ever:
Project Gotham Racing 2: 9.4 out of 10
Top Spin: 9.0 out of 10
Grand Theft Auto Double Pack 9.5 out of 10
Crimson Skies 8.9 out of 10
Holiday Offer Delivers Complete Xbox Experience
And if that weren’t enough, the Xbox holiday retail offer is giving new gamers a four course meal of everything Xbox, including the Xbox console, two pack-in games, (Star Wars: The Clone Wars from Lucas Arts and THQ’s Tetris Worlds Live) and a two-month free trial to Xbox Live. This $179.99 offer promises to be a hit with holiday shoppers.
And finally, Yahooligans has just announced Xbox as “the number one sought-after toy this holiday” as voted on by fans, beating out Nintendo’s Game Boy Advance SP and Sony’s PS2 for the top spot as the most coveted holiday toy this year. And the reasons are plentiful! Video games, music and movies, digital photos, karaoke and online communities are all part of the exciting Xbox experience this holiday.

Xbox Live One Year Later: The Online Surge
Steve @ 11:57 PM EST
REDMOND, Wash. - Nov. 17, 2003 - From Sioux Falls to Seoul, Xbox Live™ gamers are celebrating the one-year anniversary of Xbox Live, the fastest growing unified broadband gaming service ever. A passionate and growing community half a million strong, Xbox Live gamers have an insatiable appetite for riveting, interactive and social game experiences. A recently released survey by Zelos Group finds that more than 25 percent of owners of Xbox« are likely to go online this holiday season, compared to just under 15 percent of PS2 owners.(1)
Three of the five top-selling Xbox games at retail last month are online-enabled, with two of those being Xbox Live exclusives.(2) One Xbox Live blockbuster in October - "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six« 3" from Ubisoft - is attracting record numbers of gamers to the Xbox Live service. In a single, 24-hour period just days after release of "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3," new records were set on Xbox Live, when online gamers spent more than a quarter of a million hours playing the game. That's more than 30 years of consecutive playing all in a single day.
Because of its built-in Ethernet port and strong portfolio of Xbox Live-enabled titles, Xbox is the console of choice for gamers anxious to join the online trend. Illustrating demand for the online-ready console, Yahoo! announced this month that Xbox was named the No. 1 toy on the Yahooligans! Top Ten Toys list, beating out Nintendo's Game Boy Advance SP and Sony's PS2 for the top slot.
November promises to be another big month for online games, with 14 Xbox Live titles slated to hit store shelves including highly anticipated games such as "Project Gotham Racing« 2" and "Counter-Strike™," both from Microsoft Game Studios, and "Star Wars« Jedi Knight«: Jedi Academy™" from LucasArts. By year's end, there will be more than 70 Xbox Live titles available at retail.
"With one year of Xbox Live service under our belt, we've built a thriving community of passionate gamers, 92 percent of who say they would recommend the service to a friend,(3)" said Robbie Bach, chief Xbox officer. "Seeing online gaming really taking off this holiday season validates our vision for the future. Considering the aggressive worldwide rollout schedule for Xbox Live and the breadth of online games, our projection of one million Xbox Live subscribers by June 2004 is right on track."
And given the recently announced Xbox holiday offer, gift givers can make online gaming wishes come true without breaking the bank. In the first five weeks of the Xbox holiday offer, retailers reported to Microsoft Corp. that sales have increased 54 percent on a weekly run-rate basis. The $179.99(4) (U.S.) special promotion includes the powerful Xbox console, a two-month trial subscription(5) to the Xbox Live service, and two popular Live-enabled games - Star Wars«: The Clone Wars™" from LucasArts and THQ Inc.'s "Tetris« Worlds™ Live."
Online gaming also is proving to have worldwide appeal. Xbox Live rolled out to eight new countries in October and now encompasses a global community of 19 countries. In Korea, consumers clamored so much for the coveted Xbox Live service that the major retailers reported selling out of Xbox Live starter kits in the first 48 hours, driving the fastest attach rate and highest connectivity rate in Xbox Live history.
With its unified service approach, Xbox Live allows gamers to easily find their friends online, talk to other players during game play, match up with players of any skill level and play their favorite games with competition from around the world.

Cabela's Dangerous Hunts Released
Steve @ 9:15 PM EST
MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 14, 2003--Activision Publishing, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Activision, Inc., challenges players to once again test their virtual hunting skills with an all-new Cabela's(R) Dangerous Hunts for the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system and Xbox(R) video game system. The latest title in the best-selling Cabela's franchise provides players with a hunt or be hunted experience, where they stalk or get stalked by prey through detailed surroundings enveloped by such natural boundaries as canyons, mountains, dense forest and lakes. The game features changing seasons and realistic weather conditions which deliver an added adrenaline rush of excitement as players encounter more than 27 big game animals in 12 exotic locations around the world with the reality of dangerous encounters. Cabela's(R) Dangerous Hunts is currently available at retail stores nationwide for a suggested retail price of $29.99 and is rated "T" by the ESRB.
"Cabela's(R) Dangerous Hunts presents players with a series of hunting challenges that emphasize their skills which improve based on their performance in the game," said Patrick Kelly, Vice President of Studios, Activision Value Publishing, distributor of the titles. "For the first time ever, this is a hunting game where the hunter can easily become the hunted."
Cabela's(R) Dangerous Hunts challenges players' hunting abilities with a selection of playable modes either through a first-person view that features different animals, scenery, and challenges. Career Hunt mode, the primary game mode, progresses over time through two types of game play -- challenges and charters. The hunt begins during the fall and upon successful completion of the sequence, the season progresses to winter where the player will be dealt a new list of challenges and charters to select from. Seasons continue to change each time a hunt is completed. A diverse array of hunting challenges present themselves to players, but they may also face unique challenges derived from previous hunting encounters. A unique player-hunter character will be created through each progression of challenges and charters. Each player's experience will differ from hunt to hunt.
Additionally, gamers may select from two other hunting modes. Quick Hunt mode allows players to fashion a hunt to their specifications. In this mode, they single out an animal to hunt, decide which region and season to hunt in, select the gear they intend to use and immediately embark on the hunt. In Action Zone mode, players face 12 levels of non-stop dangerous animal action while they navigate through the waypoints on each map.
The hunter profiles in Cabela's(R) Dangerous Hunts are character specific with evolving skill attributes including aim, stealth, strength, tracking and endurance. Gameplay success and failure throughout the hunts determine the evolution of the player-hunter's skill and attributes as well as the availability of new hunts over time.
To help perfect the player's aiming with both stationary and moving targets, the game features a target practice range. Additionally, a hunting guide and maps provide detailed information about specific hunting regions and individual game animals.
In order to hunt large and often unpredictable big game animals, players must purchase equipment with money earned by taking big trophies. Players acquire a wide selection of equipment, which include firearms, clothing, tents, and scents. In the event of a dangerous encounter with an aggressive animal, players have the ability to defend themselves by quickly drawing a personal firearm or knife.

Atari Ships Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines
Steve @ 7:32 PM EST
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 11, 2003--Atari today announced that it has shipped "Terminator(R) 3: Rise of the Machines(TM)," for the PlayStation(R) 2 computer entertainment system, the Xbox(TM) videogame system from Microsoft and Game Boy(R) Advance, to retail stores nationwide. Based on this summer's blockbuster motion picture from Intermedia, IMF and C2 Pictures, "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" is a first-person action game that allows players to become Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Terminator. Developed by Black Ops, "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" marks the first time Arnold Schwarzenegger's voice and likeness has ever appeared in a videogame -- the involvement of Claire Danes, Nick Stahl and Kristanna Lokken rounds out the stellar videogame cast.
"With both the `Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines' movie DVD and videogame releasing today, fans can watch the Terminator in action on their home theaters and one minute later become the Terminator on their favorite game system," said Steve Allison, vice president of marketing, Atari, Inc.'s Los Angeles studio. "The `Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines' videogame takes the movie to an entirely new level. Not only do players get to play through the plot of the feature film nearly line for line, but they'll also be able to experience first-hand everything that happened just prior to the feature film's start. How was the Terminator sent back this time? How did he kill John Connor? And, what does SkyNet really look like? All of these questions, and more, are answered in the game."
"Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" continues Atari's trend of bringing outstanding film properties to life in the interactive realm complete with Hollywood talent, feature film footage, dramatic plots that interweave with the movie, authentic sound tracks and much more. "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" features 15 minutes of footage taken straight from the blockbuster film that helps set up key situations and story-related game elements. An additional five-minute segment, filmed by director Jonathan Mostow, exclusive to the DVD and videogame, features Arnold Schwarzenegger and sheds new light on the mythology behind the origins of the Terminator. Players will also be treated to extensive behind-the-scenes footage from both the videogame and feature film, including an eight-minute segment detailing the entire making of the game.
The "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" videogame storyline will weave in and out of the movie script as players encounter scenarios similar to those faced by the Terminator where John Connor must be protected from the threat of the T-X and the initial rise of the machines, to the apocalyptic future where the War of the Machines is waged on all fronts. While following the feature film's plot closely, "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" will go one step further by providing fans of the Terminator series with a deeper look into the movie's universe and the role of the Terminator, a futuristic fighting machine reprogrammed to save humanity from the SkyNet Armageddon.
As the Terminator, players will face swarms of enemies in first-person action from the wastelands of the future to present-day Los Angeles. Military bases, laboratories and downtown Los Angeles are just a few of the more than 20 unique locations found in the game, which have been taken straight from the current Terminator timeline of events. In addition, more than 20 futuristic and modern-day weapons will be at the player's disposal for use in terminating any enemy in the most efficient manner possible, including the SkyNet Arc-Laser, Tech-Com Micro Rocket Launcher and the SkyNet Assault Cannon.
Much like the feature film, when Terminators clash in "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" all hell is sure to break loose. Terminators are designed to utilize the most readily and efficient means available to eliminate any particular foe -- when that enemy is a Terminator this leads to absolutely brutal hand-to-hand combat. "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" will allow players to engage in true movie-like Terminator combat as they repeatedly face the ultimate killing machine, the T-X, throughout the single-player game. Smashing opponents into walls, massive two-handed chops and crushing kicks are just a few of the dozens of moves in the Terminator's arsenal.
A unique twist in the "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" story will also allow players to operate the Terminator before it was reprogrammed in the future to save John Connor. As a result, players will be able to test their terminating skills against battle-hardened Tech Com special forces from the future as they fight alongside and utilize SkyNet's advanced weaponry, including Future Killer tanks and flyers, fixed gun emplacements as well as other Terminators in an effort to crush the last remnants of mankind.
"Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" is now available at retail stores nationwide with an estimated retail price of $49.95 and an ESRB rating of "T" for Teen. Additional information about "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" can be found online at http://www.t3game.com

"We feel this year's titles are poised to perform strongly at retail, as we have delivered an engaging platformer with fantastic game play that truly appeals to mature gamers as well as the large dedicated audience of the incredibly popular Nickelodeon show."
"SpongeBob SquarePants continues to grow its audience and capture new viewers with its quirky humor," stated Steve Youngwood, Senior Vice President, Nickelodeon Media Products Group. "SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom perfectly replicates and expands upon that humor, translating it into interactive comedy for every major gaming system."
In SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom, the evil Plankton has set in motion his most diabolical plot ever to take over the world. The fate of Bikini Bottom has been put in the hands (or small tentacles) of three unsuspecting heroes - SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star and Sandy Cheeks -- all playable characters with their own special moves. Players can pull off insane new maneuvers like "tongue boarding," "underwear bungee jumping," and "lasso coptering," and enjoy power-ups like the "guided cruise bubble." They will encounter familiar friends as they explore 50 levels in 10 huge 3D worlds, looking for hidden items to unlock, secret rewards, soaking up SpongeBob humor, and finally putting an end to Plankton's rotten scheme.
The release of SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom is backed by a comprehensive, multi-million dollar marketing campaign targeting both the younger and twenty-something demographics. The campaign includes national broadcast exposure, print and online advertising, and promotional tie-ins.
